male and female ideals
the male and female ideals in the US are based on the "perfect figure". for females, their ideal figures are to be very skinny waist with a medium to bigger cleavage. girls all over the US are getting surgeries in order to reach these ideal figures that our media portrays. unfortunately our society is based on looks only. Girls are starving to death in order to get that skinny waist then putting their lives in danger even more by getting the so famous boob jobs. Males are just as bad. they keep on taking all sorts of steroids and any type of pills wether they are legal or not just in order to make their muscles a little bigger. Our society throughout the media just puts so much pressure to look a certain way mainly because of our idolatry towards celebrities. Even the celebrities have pressure on themselves by their fans to keep on looking the way they are looking. They can't afford to gain weight and it's just really sad to see that we have a society that is so shallow.

Totally true. I agree with you 100%. Good job on using examples like the straving to death and boob jobs along with the steriods number. you did a goob job with detail.

It is sad but you have to admit you follow these ideals as well, right? Im sure you would take the girl with the big boobs and skinny waist anyday over the cunky girl with a golden personality. Maybe it isnt fair for me to say that but I think we have to recognize the problem within ourselves as well as our society and media. It is sad but I don't think it will ever end
I really like your example. It's true that the media put a lot of people under pressure, who are doing very bad thing to look like the people in the commercials. good job.
